Booking
How do I book?
Book online through our booking page, which shows live prices and availability. You can also call us on 03 5775 2735 or send a message in the chat.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel 14 days or more before arrival, we refund what you paid less one night. If you cancel less than 14 days before arrival, we refund what you paid less 25% of the booking or one night, whichever is more. Peak periods and group bookings can have stricter conditions, shown when you book.
Do you take group bookings?
Yes. Send us a message in the chat with your dates, number of people and the sites or cabins you would like, and we will put together a quote.
Arrival and departure
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am, unless we have agreed other times with you in writing. The office is open for check-ins between 12pm and 4pm, so please do not arrive before 12pm.
Can I arrive late?
Campsite check-ins close at 6.30pm for safety reasons, and this is strict. If you are staying in a cabin and expect to arrive after the office closes, message us beforehand and we will try to arrange it.
Where are you and how do I get there?
We are at 540 Howes Creek Road, Mansfield VIC 3722, about seven kilometres from Mansfield town and a two hour drive north east of Melbourne. Mt Buller and Mt Stirling are under an hour away.
What are the office hours?
Reception is open from 10am to 4pm. The after-hours number, 0458 711 488, is for emergencies only. In an emergency call 000.
Pets
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on campsites all year round, with approval from park management before you book. Pets are not allowed in cabins or cottages. Please read our dog policy before booking.
Are there times dogs are not allowed?
Yes. The park is not dog friendly over peak periods, including Boxing Day to New Year, January, Melbourne Cup weekend and the Easter long weekend. Message us to check your dates.
Facilities
Is the water drinkable?
No. The park runs on bore water, which is not drinkable. Please bring bottled water for drinking and cooking.
Is linen supplied?
In the cabins and cottage, linen and towels are supplied for the main bed. Please arrange extra linen with us before you arrive. The Supreme Cabin includes linen and towels.
Can I charge an electric car?
No. The park does not support electric vehicle charging, and electric bikes and scooters are not allowed in the park.
Is there a pool?
Yes. The outdoor pool is open from 9am to 8pm during the summer months. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, at the main amenities block. Washing machines cost $8 and dryers $4, coin operated.
Can I have a campfire?
Bring-your-own fire bins are allowed during the snow season only, and must be approved by park management first. Fire bins need at least 30cm clearance from the ground. Fires are never allowed on total fire ban days.
Boats and the lake
Can I launch my boat at the park?
The lake level has dropped and the park boat ramp is out of the water. Bank launching is at your own risk. We recommend the public ramps at Bonnie Doon or Goughs Bay.
Where do I park my boat or jet ski?
Boats and jet skis go in the boat storage areas around the park, not on campsites, near cabins or on the lawns.
